Consultation

There are times when a future client wants to meet to discuss the feasibility of a project in terms of cost, scope, and existing conditions.  This is called a consultation.  When planning a renovation and or addition to an existing home, it makes the most sense to meet at the existing home.  This allows an architect to assess the relationship of spaces and examine the current conditions of both the home and the site.  It helps immensely if the client can put together a list of needs (items necessary in the the design) and wants (items that would be great if the budget allows) before the meeting.

Once the consultation meeting is completed, and the scope of work has been determined, a proposal can then be written up between the client and architect.
